I'm from China, but I like Japan so I moved to Okinawa and enjoy my life there.
Fluent in Japanese, enthusiastic about studying, energetic, and loves Yuntaku...!
While teaching Chinese, I challenged various qualification exams in Japan, I am a female entrepreneur, and I am a mother of two sons.
In his spare time, he enjoys snorkeling in the beautiful blue sea, outdoor activities such as camping and BBQs, and exploring culture and history such as visiting castles (gusuku). We quickly became good friends and deepened exchanges in the local community.

Born in Guilin, China. Moved to Okinawa in 1995 after working as an elementary school teacher for seven years. In Japan, she has over 20 years of experience in linguistic human resource development at the Okinawa Human Resources Development Foundation, prefectural high schools, and Ehime Women's Junior College. Acquired Nissho Bookkeeping Level 1, engaged in accounting for small and medium enterprises in the prefecture at a tax accountant office, tourism at the Okinawa Tourism Convention Bureau, and business support between Japan and China at the Okinawa Industrial Promotion Public Corporation for about 2 to 3 years each. As a VIP interpreter, he has accompanied city hall-related delegations visiting China and Japan for more than five years. Responsible for consecutive and simultaneous interpretation and translation work at press conferences, exchanges, academic conferences, etc. in the fields of administration, economics, education, mass media, and technology. As a business interpreter, I have many experiences such as business meetings between cruise ships and local companies, China Bureau of Commerce top sales, Chinese investor inspection groups, Okinawa MICE business meetings, etc.

I am often asked, "Why did you decide to become a Chinese teacher?"

I love the process of communicating with people through Chinese and growing together.

You will be able to do what you couldn't do. The joy of achieving something is exceptional. I jump for joy when I hear reports of students passing exams, winning speech contests, or doing well at work.

 

People always hit a wall on their way to their dreams. What I thought was a big wall, if you look closely, you'll find that there's a small staircase.

 

But it can be hard to notice on your own.

I am where I am now thanks to the help of many people. So this time, I want to give back to the Japanese people with what I can do. As a means to that end, I teach Chinese.

 

I would like to introduce a little bit of what I have been up to now.

The Japanese folk song "Red Dragonfly" that I learned in music class when I was in elementary school

I remember hearing the simple melody and imagining the sunset in Japan and being very excited. I have always loved children, so I became an elementary school teacher in China. So I taught the children this song.

 

Opposite the elementary school is the Japan-China Friendship Hall. In Guilin City, there is a Japan Friendship City gift bus, and for me, Japan is a country of longing, and I felt close to it.

 

When I was in junior high school, I was hooked on the Japanese drama Moero Attack and joined the volleyball club.

At that time, the audience rating in China was 80%. Thanks to that, my nickname was Ryoko, the manager of the club activities in the drama... (laughs)

 

During my normal school days, I fell in love with Japanese anime, and chose "Astro Boy" as the song for my graduation exam for the piano subject.

Then, in my 20s, I watched many Japanese movies and dramas such as “Akai Doubt” and “Tokyo Love Story,” and sang Japanese songs at karaoke.

I always checked Japanese fashion and imitated it.

 

Around that time, I started learning Japanese at the night school of the Japan-China Friendship Association.

Through the volunteer interpreter, I was able to come to Japan, which I had always dreamed of!

I couldn't speak Japanese at all, but I was really embarrassed because they thought I could (laughs).

One word "Teach me Chinese!" saved me

When I came to Japan, I couldn't understand the Japanese I thought I had studied, and the food didn't suit me either, and I felt homesick and lost.

 

One day, by chance, a high school teacher I met while doing volunteer work asked me to teach him Chinese. This is my first one-on-one lesson.

 

After that, I started receiving lesson requests from people who wanted to learn Chinese for various purposes.

Managers who want to develop business between Japan and China, staff members of Japan-China business and cultural exchange organizations, high school students who want to pass the HSK exam, which is essential for studying in China, Japanese people who are married between Japan and China, old newspaper delivery men who love traveling to China, etc. Many people spoke to me, and before I knew it, my house had become a Chinese class.

 

With the recommendation of those people, I have been in charge of teaching at high schools, vocational schools, universities, municipal international exchange associations, employment promotion associations, prefectural language centers, etc., and the path of language education has naturally expanded. I was able to continue for the rest of the year.

As a teacher, I couldn't be more excited to see my students pass the HSK exam and use their solid language skills to go on to study abroad, get a job promotion, develop business between Japan and China, and promote cultural exchange between Japan and China, and strive to realize their dreams. I felt joy and pride in the growth of my students, and I felt a sense of purpose and mission in teaching Chinese.

I'm from southern China, so I had a complex about my Chinese accent (tears).

 

During my three years at a Japanese high school, I was assigned to teach high school students who were participating in the National High School Chinese Speech Contest.

 

At that time, I had a complex about speech, and as a leader, I wanted to make my students win the championship.

With that in mind, I decided to do everything I could.

 

I listened to recordings of past national speech contests.

When I listened to the pronunciation of participating students from all over the country, I knew everything about the teachers who were teaching them, whether they were Japanese or Chinese, male or female, their age, and whether they were from the north or the south.

 

Feeling the weight of my responsibility as a teacher, I thoroughly studied myself to improve my pronunciation.

 

As a result, what! My students won 1st and 2nd place nationwide for 3 consecutive years!

Thanks to the appreciation of my students and parents, I have become a little more confident in my Chinese pronunciation and speech teaching methods. Thank you to my students! Thanks!


 

While teaching Chinese, I received questions from various people about pronunciation, grammar, business and cultural customs, etc. Thanks to that, I felt my own inadequacy and constantly worked hard to improve myself.

Self-taught, I passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level 1, Chuken Level 1, HSK Level 6, Licensed Guide Interpreter (Okinawa only), and other advanced Japanese language exams.

 

I have acquired business-related qualifications such as Nissho Bookkeeping Level 1, real estate broker, and FP, and have also studied cultural and liberal arts subjects at the Open University of Japan Graduate School.

I still have a lot of things I want to do. Not only teaching Chinese, but also real estate business and business between Japan and China. As a non-native speaker of Japanese, I am taking on the challenge of taking the Japanese qualification test not only for my own sake, but also to support the feelings of those who want to learn Chinese and realize their dreams.

 

I supported the growth of my students and had them teach me, which also led to my own growth.
